At MIT and UW, I designed a lot of small electronic and mechanical devices for wearable, sensor network, and robotics applications. For someone doing this for the first time, it can be an overwhelming experience. I thought it might be helpful to share what I’ve learned over the years in designing these miniature devices. Having a guide like this would have saved me a lot of time and frustration.
