At MIT and UW, I had to design a lot of small electronic and mechanical devices for wearable, sensor networks and robotics applications. For someone who is doing it first time, it could be an overwhelming experience. I thought it would be a good idea to share what I learned over the years in designing those miniature devices. I wish I knew some of those things before, as they would have saved a lot of time and frustration.
