Case Study
In 2022, the European Union consumed approximately 177 million metric tons of steel. This accounts for about 11% of global steel production. The construction and automotive industries are the largest consumers of steel in the EU, together accounting for more than half of the steel consumed.
We work with China’s biggest steel producer (100-132 million raw steel production annually) to help them collect, trace and track their emissions along the entirety of their supply chain, from start to finish.
We analyse in detail each of their prodution processes and prodcution facility to ensure a correct mapping of the production routes to account for each installation’s precise emission profile. Their products are being exported worldwide and used in a manifold of applications and products.
